Weatherization

COVER's Weatherization Program is dedicated to helping make homes in the surrounding communities warmer, while reducing energy consumption, join us!


What COVER can do for you this winter:

Weather proofing services
for people within certain incomes including:
  • Installing door gaskets and sweeps
  • Sealing windows and cracks
  • Insulating hot water pipes
  • Insulating electrical outlets All work is performed by trained volunteers.
  • Up to $100 of materials
The materials, according to need, are no cost if your income is within these income guidelines. Supplies include
  • Silicone caulk
  • Thick clear plastic (4mm) for window covering
  • Expanding foam
  • Vinyl and metal door sweeps and gaskets
  • Outlet and switch gaskets
  • Weather-stripping

Calling all volunteers

If you would like to help us weatherize homes this winter, we would love to hear from you.

Most homes take 3-4 hours to weatherize, and Volunteers have the option of volunteering to weatherize 1-2 homes per workday.
